Since its founding in 1977, Ziegler Cooper Architects has been driven by a strong belief that inspirational architecture enriches lives, uplifts the human spirit, and embodies a vision of excellence. To uphold this belief, we have organized our practice into four specialized studios, each dedicated to addressing humanity’s basic needs to live, learn, work, and worship. Each studio is led by a Principal who is passionate about their area of expertise and is supported by a team of dedicated professionals. Ziegler Cooper Architects has become a leading firm in urban residential architecture. We advocate for sustainable growth strategies, such as walkable mixed-use urban villages, to counteract suburban sprawl and rejuvenate inner-city living. Over the past twenty years, we have significantly contributed to the revitalization and urbanization of major U.S. cities. History shows that a city's greatness is largely defined by the quality of its art, architecture, and urban environment, presenting us with a tremendous opportunity to rise to this challenge. To date, Ziegler Cooper Architects has master-planned, designed, and constructed over 18 million square feet of multi-family apartments, lofts, high-rise condominiums, and high-rise apartments across the United States. This legacy of inspirational design continues to shape the urban landscape.
