ONYX Constructors recently completed the new 3,079-square-foot showroom for Balden Contract Group in Houston, delivering a sophisticated space that seamlessly combines functionality, flexibility, and modern design. The interior build-out was carefully crafted to create an engaging environment that showcases the company’s products while supporting daily operations, collaboration, and client interaction. Designed by Taft Studio, the showroom features an open, hospitality-inspired layout that encourages connectivity between workspaces, meeting areas, and product displays. Design elements include custom acoustic ceiling baffles, exposed structural components with integrated lighting and MEP systems, thoughtfully designed flooring transitions, and custom millwork that adds warmth and refinement throughout the space. A key challenge during construction was coordinating the exposed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems alongside the architectural and acoustic ceiling features while maintaining a clean and cohesive visual aesthetic. Through close collaboration between ONYX Constructors, Taft Studio, and E.B.E. MEP Consulting Engineers, all systems were carefully aligned to preserve the integrity of the design and ensure flawless execution. The finished showroom reflects Balden Contract Group’s commitment to quality, innovation, and client experience, providing a versatile and welcoming environment that supports both employees and visitors while serving as a showcase for the company’s expertise.
