Environs Architectural Millwork Company Profile

As cliche as it sounds, Environs was started as a dream, by two young parents, in a one-car, cinder block garage in Blanco, Texas in 2006. Matt and Jote envisioned a company that could be as proud of the millwork being manufactured as it was with a diverse, family-oriented and welcoming workplace culture. With humble beginnings, but lots of hard work and late nights, Environs quickly outgrew that garage and into a small shared shop space in North Austin that same year.. We’ve moved the shop a couple of times over the years, finally settling into the 12,000 square foot manufacturing facility that we now occupy. After hiring our first employee in 2007, we’ve grown to fifteen employees, many of whom have been with us since damn near the beginning. Over the years, we’ve fostered strong relationships with many architects, design firms and general contractors in Austin, and throughout Texas. These relationships have led us to be involved with a wide range of commercial projects, from a remodel of three floors in the St. David’s Rehab wing to a 24 foot walnut butcher block slide, spanning two floors of the Chive media headquarters. As we look forward, we continue to seek out innovative new work, foster positive work relationships, promise to provide a living wage to our hard-working employees, and to continue to refine and improve upon the vision we started with all those years ago.
