ONYX Constructors proudly completed the flagship Houston branch for Yoakum National Bank, delivering a comprehensive 7,627-square-foot renovation that transformed both the interior and exterior of the facility. The project involved a complete demolition and rebuild, resulting in a modern banking environment designed to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and brand presence. Exterior improvements included new storefront glazing, complete replacement of both pitched and flat roofing systems, upgraded motor bank drive-thru equipment, a new bullet-resistant teller transaction system, refreshed landscaping, updated site striping, exterior painting, and the installation of new building, monument, and directional signage. Inside, the branch features a collection of custom-crafted design elements that elevate the overall customer experience. Highlights include a custom wood veneer reception desk with curved wood slat detailing, a matching teller cabinet tower, a custom coffee bar, a renovated break room with bespoke millwork, new restroom facilities, and glass-front offices and conference rooms. Decorative gypsum ceiling features, updated branding elements, and new interior signage further reinforce the bank’s modern identity. The project also included a complete replacement of the building’s network and security infrastructure, ensuring reliable performance and enhanced protection throughout the facility. One of the most complex aspects of the renovation was the removal of an existing bank vault, a process that required extensive planning, specialized coordination, and precise execution. Completed in partnership with McKinney York Architects and Infinity MEP+S Consultants, the finished branch reflects Yoakum National Bank’s commitment to innovation, customer service, and long-term growth within the Houston market.
