OHL USA made its strategic entry into Texas when it opened its office in Austin in the fall of 2012. Using an organic growth approach, OHL assembled a team of construction professionals with decades of local highway and bridge experience to lead the company in a manner that honors the traditional contracting norms of the state. As a result of combining local personnel with the support of OHL’s international resources, the Texas office has grown rapidly, obtaining prestigious contracts that are helping the state’s transportation organizations to meet their evolving infrastructure needs. The Texas office offers capabilities not only in traditional design-bid-build contracting, but also in the alternative project delivery methods including design-build, design-build-finance, public-private partnership (PPP), and construction management at risk, just to name a few. OHL’s entry into Texas began with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) heavy highway projects, and its success in this area has now led to the pursuit of additional project types, including vertical construction (both commercial and public), airports, rail and transit systems, pipelines, and seaports. Additionally, through its close relationship with OHL Industrial, the firm offers plant civil service industrial construction expertise including liquified natural gas systems, petroleum pipelines and green energy developments.
